July 12 and 19, 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
$50.00 plus supplies
In this two-part class participants will learn about fabric choices, color and contrast, proper measuring and cutting tips and techniques. During the first class, students will make several rail fence blocks using the standard 1/4″ seam allowance and the strip-piecing method. Additionally, the half-square triangle will be explored, showing the many different blocks made from this one simple block.
The second class will be used to assemble the blocks, sandwich the top, batting, and backing and determine quilting techniques to use. Various methods of binding a quilt will be demonstrated.
