Patchwork Phoenix Front Entrance

About Us

Hal and Laura Brewer opened the doors of Patchwork Phoenix on July 4, 2014 by serving hard scoop ice cream to those who were attending the 4th of July parade on Historic First Street in Raton, New Mexico.

The little quilt shop started out as a gallery, gift shop, ice cream parlor, and quilt store. Beginning in the summer of 2018, Patchwork Phoenix stopped selling ice cream because it took too much of our time scooping ice cream which didn’t leave enough time to quilt and provide classes and workshops in quilting; the main reason the store was opened in the first place.

Both Hal and Laura are retired from other jobs. Hal is the handyman for minor repairs, and Laura enjoys working the store.

The retail storefront is closed because of health reasons. Orders can still be made on the website, or by phone.  Orders can be shipped, or arrangements made for pick up at the store.
